GTA IV RTX Remaster Receives Update 1.4.0 - With Improved Optimization, Fog, and Rain

News 0

In July, modder xoxor4d introduced a new update for his RTX remaster of Grand Theft Auto IV. As usual, it aims to fix some technical issues and further enhance the graphics.

He announced that the “Numos - Atmospheric Sky System” has been fully integrated. Players will be able to quickly switch between the original sky and a physically accurate version. Weather settings have been updated, and an issue with weather blending when using Numos has been fixed.

When playing with the “rasterized” (original) sky, it now “weakens reflections on the water, making the water and sky blend better.”

In addition, xoxor4d continues to fix the rain. In this update, he fixed rain particles and corrected a bug where droplets could remain on translucent surfaces after the rain stopped.

xoxor4d continues to distribute his project “gta4-rtx” (GTAIV RTX Remix Compatibility Mod) for free via GitHub. A full description of update 1.4.0 is available at the following link. The developer has not yet announced when he plans to release the next update.
