PUBG Corporation and Krafton discussed future plans for PUBG: Battlegrounds in a recent blog. They decided to introduce a number of improvements to the console versions of the game.
The developers explained that after PUBG's transition to current-generation consoles in 2025, their main priority became "the need to ensure seamless real-time service operation." They now believe they are ready to more actively utilize console capabilities.
In July of this year, the creators of PUBG: Battlegrounds will introduce two graphics modes on consoles: "Frame Rate Priority" – which will provide smoother motion and faster response times; and "Resolution Priority" mode – which will offer sharper image quality and beautiful graphics.
The developers also improved the interface loading speed: "Console owners have to go through several menus after logging into PUBG before they can join a match."
In the next update, they plan to adjust the hit registration system in the console versions (the changes will not affect PC and Mac versions):
We will expand and refine hit zones so that shots that players believe should hit the target are still registered, while maintaining the distinctive gameplay features of PUBG on consoles.
