Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Sets Ubisoft Record on Steam

Last week, Ubisoft announced the sale of 2 million copies of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and that was the beginning of good news. For the first time in the series' history, the game surpassed 100,000 concurrent players on Steam.

Despite the controversy surrounding the project after its release, fans are actively returning to Edward Kenway's adventures. The result set a new Assassin’s Creed record on Valve's platform.

The success also shows how much players love Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. For many, it's the best installment in the series, which is why a full remake generated much more interest than a simple remaster.

If the rumors turn out to be true and Black Flag Resynced was a test before creating new remakes, Ubisoft has a strong argument for developing this direction.

For many years, fans have been asking for an update to the first Assassin’s Creed, which could use modern technology to retell Altaïr's story.
