This summer, CD Projekt RED and its partners gave several reasons to remember Cyberpunk 2077. Several teasers for the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 were published online, a collaboration with Wuthering Waves was launched, and a themed event in Apex Legends is being prepared.
Against this backdrop, Cyberpunk 2077's online player count on PC in Steam has significantly increased. It is assumed that interest in the game has also grown on consoles. Some players have started to express the opinion that CD Projekt RED should release a second expansion for the game.
User Peach1020 said that he is just finishing his first 100% playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 — it took him approximately 220 hours. A DLC release would disrupt his plans to play other games, but he is ready to buy it: "A new expansion, of course, would ruin my plans to move on to playing my backlog of games, but *** I would buy it instantly without hesitation."
Earlier this year, a CD Projekt RED representative, in response to a question about a potential Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, stated:
We have no plans for new additions or expansions. If anything changes, we will inform you all.
Currently, CDPR is preparing an expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt called Songs of the Past.
