After the announcement of Alien: Isolation 2, players wondered: what happened to Amanda Ripley? As it turned out, the sequel will feature a new character named Blake as the protagonist.
According to available data, the action will unfold in a colony overrun by xenomorphs. Creative Assembly decided not to repeat the plot of the first part, so Amanda will not be at the center of the new story.
However, her story did not end in Alien: Isolation. Later, the heroine appeared in the mobile game Alien: Blackout, where she survived another encounter with the Alien and left the "Mendel" station. Then her story was continued in the comics Aliens: Resistance and Aliens: Rescue. In them, Amanda returns to Earth and tries to expose the Weyland-Yutani corporation's experiments with xenomorphs.
The developers have not yet confirmed whether these events will be connected to the plot of Alien: Isolation 2. The game takes place shortly after the disaster at the "Sevastopol" station, so Amanda still holds an important place in the canon. However, the authors may fully focus on Blake and tell a standalone story.
