The Larian Studios team closely monitors the Baldur's Gate 3 fan community and actively interacts with fans. Recently, the studio noticed a statement from a famous musician and decided to please him.
My Chemical Romance vocalist Gerard Way noticed a fan's poster with the question "Have you ever played Baldur's Gate 3?" and admitted that he hadn't — he "only played the first Baldur's Gate," which was made by BioWare. He called this game fascinating, and at the time, it "was the closest analogue to Dungeons & Dragons" for him.
He simply didn't have enough time for the second and third parts of Baldur's Gate. He also added that he played the Icewind Dale expansion.
Larian Studios reacted to the viral post with the vocalist's answer about Baldur's Gate 3 — the developers sent him a gift code to activate the game:
