The creators of The Blood of Dawnwalker explained what prevents the game from being released on Switch 2

The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on September 3, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The developers do not rule out the release of the RPG on Nintendo Switch 2.

Rebel Wolves Creative Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz stated that releasing the game on the new Nintendo console would be an excellent idea. He emphasized that creating a port is a massive undertaking, requiring time, resources, and team effort.

The studio first wants to assess the success of The Blood of Dawnwalker after its release and understand if there will be sufficient demand for a Switch 2 version. If sales prove successful, the port issue may be reconsidered.

The developers noted that their main priority now is high-quality optimization of the game for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. According to Tomaszkiewicz, performance work has been one of the key areas since the earliest stages of the project's creation.
