Sony Delays FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick Release Ahead of New Fighting Game Launch

News 0

PlayStation has confirmed the postponement of the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick release. Sony's first official fight stick for PS5 will not go on sale on the previously announced date.

The accessory was unveiled in early June along with other new devices for PS5. FlexStrike was intended to be an addition to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a new fighting game for PS5 and PC.

Sony attributed the delay to "unexpected production issues."

We wanted to provide an update regarding the release date of the FlexStrike wireless controller. Due to unexpected production delays, FlexStrike will be available later. We will announce a new release date soon.

The company stated that the additional time will be used to refine the device. Sony clarified that customers who pre-ordered through PlayStation Direct will be able to check their order status on the website and receive further instructions. Customers of other stores should await messages from their retailers.

The new release date for the FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick is currently unknown. It seems PlayStation has decided not to release an unfinished accessory, even if it means delaying the launch.
