Blizzard Entertainment has not sold its games in Russia for a long time, but gamers could still connect to Battle.net servers and the company's games. However, in July of this year, complaints about server accessibility issues began to emerge.
Sometimes problems are observed only in games, and in some cases, it is impossible to connect to Battle.net itself. The system may issue an error with a code, for example: "Connection attempt timed out. Please try again. (Error Code 30008.)"
Players in Diablo IV, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch report connection problems and error "30008". Some believe this may be related to regional blocking by the local regulator or Blizzard Entertainment itself.
Players who moved to another region report that their connection problem with Blizzard Entertainment games disappeared.
The error "300008" itself is not unique to players from Russia. This is a standard code for one of the network errors; users from other regions encountered it several years ago.
