Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced Impresses Digital Foundry with Optimization Across All Consoles

Digital Foundry speaks highly of the technical implementation of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, noting 10 graphics modes on consoles.

Digital Foundry experts highly praised the technical state of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced. Ubisoft has optimized the game well for all current-generation consoles, preparing ten different graphics configurations.

On PS5 and Xbox Series X, three modes are available. Performance mode provides a stable 60 frames per second at around 1080p resolution, reducing the quality of cloth and sail physics, vegetation density, and disabling ray tracing on water surfaces.

Graphics mode offers 30 frames per second at 1440p with full RT reflections. Owners of 120 Hz screens can choose a balanced 40 FPS mode. Even the Xbox Series S received global RTGI lighting, although the game only runs at 30 FPS and with a less sharp image.

The PS5 Pro is called the best version. Thanks to a more powerful GPU and second-generation PSSR upscaling technology, the console allows playing in performance mode with RT reflections and an image close to native 4K in sharpness.
