Recently, the author of the YouTube channel DryxioGTA conducted a new experiment in the world of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He decided to launch another Rockstar Games franchise title on the game's "texture".
The modder dragged a TV onto the street and had Carl "CJ" Johnson play Grand Theft Auto III on it. By pressing a "hotkey", the control switches between the main game (GTA: San Andreas) and GTA III, which is displayed on the TV.
As a result, DryxioGTA can play GTA III while playing a more modern part of the franchise:
DryxioGTA did not specify which modifications he used. Previously, mods for GTA: San Andreas were released that allowed playing GTA III and GTA: Vice City (reVC and re3 versions were launched), but then they expanded to full screen, and the edges were designed as a TV screen. In the current version, the camera remains behind the main character.
Grand Theft Auto III itself is still supported by modifications to this day. This year saw the release of an improved version of a mod that had been lost many years ago. An enthusiast not only restored the project, which allowed players to reach the hidden Ghost Town, but also to fully explore it.
