In July, FireRing Studio released The Sweet Spot on PC via Steam. The new title is positioned as a cozy horror game.
The events of The Sweet Spot will unfold in the 1980s. The story centers on a 27-year-old woman named Jessica, who is assigned to night shifts at an ice cream parlor located in the middle of a highway.
Players will have to make ice cream and milkshakes with various flavors using quick and simple recipes. Customers have different preferences, and the goal is to make them happy. As the work progresses, the horror element will emerge: "making ice cream can be a relaxing activity, but be careful, you might not be alone."
Several game modes are available in The Sweet Spot:
- Story Mode — where players will be told an "unsettling story" of the heroine's first week working at the ice cream parlor. The expected playtime is about one hour.
- Endless Mode — this mode features an infinite number of working hours and a time limit for delivering each order. Players will be challenged to survive as long as possible.
- Relaxation Mode — similar to "endless mode," but without a time limit for delivering orders.
