God of War Laufey Star Isn't Bothered by Haters - She Just Doesn't Care About Criticism

When Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled the new installment of the God of War Laufey franchise, some players reacted with criticism. The reason is that the protagonist will now be not Kratos, but the warrior Laufey (Faye) — his wife.

The role of the main character in God of War Laufey, Faye, is played by actress Deborah Ann Woll. Gamers are venting their dissatisfaction with the developers' decision on the actress as well. However, it turns out that she is not bothered by it — Deborah does not have social media accounts, meaning it's easy for her to ignore online comments.

A TikTok featuring her response to quinnphobic went viral:

To be honest, I thought [the criticism] would affect me much more. Firstly, I'm not on social media, and that helps. And secondly, I don't care at all, because I know for a fact that [the game] is great. It's okay if it's not to your taste, but in no universe can it be called “bad.”

God of War Laufey does not yet have a specific release date, but it is expected that the game may be released next year. According to the plot, after her death, Faye awakens in a strange place and learns that the protection she prepared for Kratos and Atreus is now under threat.
