MagicX announced a new custom OLED display for one of its 2026 handheld consoles

MagicX announced that it has developed a new custom 3.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1024×768. The team claims that the colors on this screen look truly beautiful: vibrant, saturated, and with the deep blacks that OLED is famous for.

It is planned to debut in one of MagicX's 2026 devices. Which one and when — the developers will announce as soon as everything is ready, so this news can be considered a small teaser.

At first, some gamers thought this was a veiled attempt to announce the use of almost the same display in the device as in the XU Retro XU20 or TrimUI Brick and Brick Hammer. But those use a 3.2-inch IPS panel, not OLED.

The news about the new screen is also interesting now because MagicX has not yet decided the fate of the Mini40 device, which will be equipped with a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800×480.

Perhaps in the future, users will receive an updated version of the XU Retro XU20 V32 with this 3.3-inch OLED screen, as well as with a different amount of RAM and internal storage.
