In July, the creators of Escape from Tarkov are preparing to launch a seasonal system. Players will be able to create a seasonal character and choose modifiers for them that will either ease or complicate the gameplay.
The head of Battlestate Games presented a full list of modifiers and shared some details.
For example, there's "Dwarf Nose" – when choosing this modifier, the player will not be able to level up "Charisma", and the cost of all traders' assortments will be 20% higher. At the same time, as Buyanov explained, players will still be able to get the secure container "Kappa".
There will be a connection with Escape from Tarkov: Arena, but it is "logically similar to PvE":
In "Arena" it will be possible to gain experience, level up skills and mastery, and also transfer items from "Arena" to Seasons (but not back – from Seasons to "Arena"). Some of Ref's tasks related to "Arena" will be unavailable in Seasons.
Modifiers will only apply to PMCs. Players will not be able to gain prestige on a seasonal character.
The game will feature the "Allergic" modifier: the character will have an allergy to two random items from provisions or medical supplies.
Buyanov explained that allergies will work like in real life:
You will have to find out what you are allergic to. It only applies to medications, stimulants, drinks, and food and does not affect medkits or CMS. When an allergy is triggered, hand tremors first appear, followed by poisoning that damages health.
The launch of the first season in Escape from Tarkov is expected to take place by the end of the current month.
