Lies of P on Switch 2 Tested on Switch 2 - Portable Mode Not All Smooth Sailing

News 0

A journalist from RPGSite tested Lies of P: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 before its August 6 release.

The testing was conducted on a build without a day-one patch. According to the author, the update will add a new portable mode with a target of 60 frames per second, so a full comparison with other platforms will be done later.

Currently, in portable mode, quality and performance presets are available, while in docked mode, quality, performance, and balanced presets are available. The journalist called the latter the best compromise. The performance mode in docked seemed too blurry to him, and the quality mode still suffers from frame synchronization issues, just like on PS5 and Xbox.

In portable mode, the author called the quality mode "terrible" and recommended using only the performance mode. He hopes that the developers will improve optimization and add the ability to disable motion blur, as on other consoles.

At the same time, the journalist praised the implementation of HD Rumble and stated that he is ready to play the game on Switch 2 again if the day-one patch fixes the performance and graphics issues.
