Sony to set regional prices in PlayStation Store for Latin American gamers

News 0

In July, a screenshot of a letter from Sony began circulating in the PlayStation community. The company warns users from Latin American countries (LATAM region) that it will change the currency in which prices are displayed in the digital store.

It is currently known that in the PlayStation Store in Mexico, prices will be displayed in Mexican pesos instead of US dollars: “you will see prices, charges, and receipts in local currency to immediately understand the cost without the need for conversion.” Players from Honduras and Nicaragua should also receive regional prices.

Otherwise, the logic of the PlayStation Store will remain the same: players will be able to use the same products and services as before, and they do not need to take any action.

To set regional prices, Sony will carry out technical work, due to the introduction of “final changes,” the PlayStation Store will be temporarily unavailable from August 18 to August 20, 2026:

During this period, you will not be able to make payments or top up your wallet directly in the PlayStation Store using credit cards, debit cards, or other payment methods until the work is completed.
