Capcom to follow GTA VI's lead - analyst predicts Resident Evil Veronica remake price

News 0

This summer, Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI. Before they began, players expressed concerns that the project might set a new price standard for the base version of the game.

GTA VI is selling for $80, and there is an opinion that Capcom might follow the example of its Western counterparts. The EvilHazardBR community shared a forecast regarding the pricing policy for Resident Evil Veronica.

According to the analyst, the "most likely" price for the Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake is $80. The $70 option is considered "less likely," and $90 is an "extremely unlikely" scenario:

The $80 price tag probably has the highest chances (around 70%). Capcom follows industry trends, and if the market well receives the new standard set by GTA VI and other AAA releases, it's logical for the company to set the same price for a major remake like Resident Evil Veronica.

However, EvilHazardBR makes a reservation that Capcom might set the price at $70, as "the company usually acts more cautiously in pricing matters and often offers discounts on games shortly after release."
