In 2024, Anbernic presented gamers with the foldable console RG 35XXSP, and in 2025 – the RG 34XXSP. Today, the team published a trailer, revealing that a portable device, the RG SP, is under development.

Judging by the video, the new clamshell will appeal to fans of the aforementioned retro consoles. It has a thinner body, narrower bezels, higher quality buttons, and a D-pad (no joysticks).
It is equipped with an Allwinner H700 processor, Linux OS, and a 3.4-inch screen with a resolution of 720x480. The device will be available in four color options: black, silver, pink, and turquoise.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known when Anbernic employees will publish the full list of RG SP specifications, how much the console will cost, and when exactly it will be released.
