CDPR announced when it will show the expansion The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past

Earlier this year, CD Projekt RED confirmed rumors about the development of a new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It was named Songs of the Past. The content is being created in collaboration with Fool's Theory studio.

Now CD Projekt RED has confirmed its participation in gamescom 2026 and announced that new information about the Songs of the Past expansion will be presented as part of Opening Night Live.

The developers did not disclose any additional details, only outlined the presentation schedule:

CDPR will also showcase The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past on the gamescom exhibition floor. Demos will be available in the business area from August 26 to 28, and in the entertainment area from August 26 to 30.

 

Currently, the Songs of the Past expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt does not have a specific release date, but the release window is known – it is planned to be released next year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, as well as on PC.

CD Projekt RED is also developing a new installment of The Witcher 4 franchise and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
