This month, Honkai Star Rail will once again have a collaboration with the Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] franchise. miHoYo (HoYoverse) has released a gameplay trailer for the new crossover heroine.
The spotlight is on Rin Tohsaka – a five-star rarity character, her path is Erudition, and in combat, she will deal Quantum-type damage. The developers position her as a damage-dealing character who uses gem energy to enhance her skill.
Rin Tohsaka will gain gem energy when allied units consume or restore skill points:
After accumulating enough gem energy, her skill is enhanced. When using the enhanced skill, Rin Tohsaka can convert excess skill points into gem energy. Consuming gem energy additionally deals multiple instances of damage to the selected enemy. When in the same party as Archer, Rin Tohsaka can perform a joint attack and restore a certain amount of skill points to allies.
The Honkai Star Rail x Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration is expected to start on July 24. Players will be able to receive a free five-star rarity character of their choice for logging into the game:
- Gilgamesh (5-star rarity, Destruction path, Electric damage type).
- Archer (5-star rarity, Hunt path, Quantum damage type).
