After 6 years, Darkest Dungeon will get a new expansion - The Fire's Edge revealed
The developers decided to add new content to the original game.
Red Hook Studios is preparing to return to the original Darkest Dungeon this summer and release the expansion The Fire's Edge. The game will add several locations, as well as classes from the second part. This will be the first DLC since 2020.
In Darkest Dungeon, players will find three zones for the Hamlet: the Duello Academy, a workshop, and an archaeologists' camp. In addition, new mechanics for artifacts will be introduced, such as transformation and a limit on the number of uses (including within a single quest).
Also, two classes will become available in Darkest Dungeon:
- Runaway: "deals a lot of damage regardless of her position, using a unique damage type – fire. She will perfectly fit into a team that is built on applying stun, as well as where pull, push, and position shuffle effects are often used."
- Duelist also deals a lot of damage and can easily move between positions in the party. She retains parry, switching between two combat stances – defensive and offensive.
