PS Plus Premium Owners Received Old Version of Fahrenheit Instead of Updated One

News 2

PS5 owners who were waiting for an updated version of Fahrenheit, also known as Indigo Prophecy, are in for a disappointment. Sony went back on its previous statements, and instead of a new version for PS5, a 2016 port for PS4 appeared in PS Plus Premium.

Initially, the official PlayStation blog stated that the game from Quantic Dream studio would receive PS5 support. This could have meant the use of Sony's internal emulator with features such as rewind, quick saves, CRT filters, and region selection.

Later, the company updated the publication and announced that the information was erroneous. As a result, PS Plus Premium subscribers only received the PS4 version, without new trophies and additional features.

For many players, this will be a disappointment given that Sony is actively updating classic games from PS1 and PS2.

Fahrenheit remains one of Quantic Dream's most important games. The interactive thriller marked the beginning of the studio's journey to Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human.
