iRacing Studios has released the first developer diary dedicated to NASCAR 26. The authors confirmed that the game will be released on September 18, and owners of the Gold edition will get access three days earlier – on September 15.
One of the main innovations will be the Chase format, which debuted in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2026. It will be available in career and season modes, as well as a separate option allowing players to complete the final ten races with selected drivers.
The developers have improved the TV presentation, revamped the AI's behavior, and added the ability for rivals to retire from the race due to crashes or mechanical failures. The most notable new system will be Dynamic Track – the track surface will change throughout the race weekend, opening up new trajectories and forcing players to change their strategy.
A full gameplay demonstration of NASCAR 26 will be shown on July 29, 2026.
