More than 25 years after production ceased, the Sega Dreamcast will receive a new game. Independent studio Story Bird Studios announced the survival horror game White Creek, inspired by late 90s games. The project will be fully playable on the original Dreamcast.
The game's events unfold in the cursed town of White Creek. Players will take on the role of exorcist Alicia Morelli, who must confront possessed residents. The developers drew inspiration from early Resident Evil installments, adding a psychological horror atmosphere reminiscent of Silent Hill.
White Creek will offer moral choices: players can use firearms or try to save characters' souls by exorcising demons.
In addition to a physical edition for Dreamcast, the game will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC. The project is currently in early development, and there is no release date yet. The studio plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign soon, where it will share more details about the Dreamcast disc release and the game's launch timeline.
