EA SPORTS FC 27 to Get Open World, Street Football, and an Edition 40% More Expensive Than GTA VI Ultimate Edition
Developers will update the "career" and some mechanics.
In July, Electronic Arts unveiled EA Sports FC 27, a new installment in the football simulation franchise. The developers released a trailer and revealed details about the project.
This installment features updated gameplay; for example, teammates will better recognize space and passing intentions – using “smart” curved runs, and the AI defense has been rebalanced. The “career” mode will see a revamped transfer mechanic, and the OVR rating in this mode will become dynamic.
Additionally, crosses and corner kicks have been reworked, and the simulation of two players battling for a header has been improved. The creators of EA Sports FC 27 also confirmed the return of Ultimate Team and showcased a new mode called “the grounds” – a street football analogue that can be played “one-on-one” or in teams; this mode will be available on PC and modern consoles, but not on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players will be able to explore a pseudo-open world, similar to what was seen in the NBA 2K game series.
You can add EA Sports FC 27 to your Steam wishlist via this link. The release is scheduled for September 25, 2026, not only on PC but also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The most expensive edition is priced at $150.
