Recently, gamers noticed another piquant situation related to Steam moderation. The creators of Future? No Thanks! faced the fact that their game is not being rushed through by moderators.
The authors published an appeal to the community:
Dear Molleindustria fans! We must apologize to you again. Earlier this month, we promised to expedite the release of our new game Future? No Thanks! and launch it today. We acted rashly, ignoring the only authority on this matter – Steam, which has been holding our game for review for over three weeks to properly assess the scale and nature of the nudity contained within.
The developers explained that the game uses “dozens of untextured polygons depicting buttocks and breasts” – they appear statically on screen for a few seconds.
The creators of Future? No Thanks! sarcastically “thanked” Valve for the thorough analysis of Future? No Thanks! – they are awaiting the specialists' verdict to release the game on Steam:
We understand that such sexually suggestive content requires very careful review. We are grateful to the Valve moderation team for their diligent work in keeping Steam free of obscene and overly “lustful” content. The game will be released as soon as their review is complete.
