It seems Tomb Raider: Catalyst release has been postponed until 2028
The wait for the new installment of the franchise will be longer than expected.
Recently, players were reminded of Tomb Raider Catalyst again. This installment of the Lara Croft adventure franchise will not be released in 2027, as originally anticipated.
The postponement became known from an interview with The Game Business. Amazon Games head Jeffrey Gattis mentioned that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released in February 2027, and Tomb Raider Catalyst in 2028.
He did not specify why the decision was made to postpone the game. It is assumed that this is due to the postponement of Legacy of Atlantis — initially, the game was planned for release this year, but plans changed.
However, there is a chance that the manager confused something and both games will be released in 2027. In a comment to Gematsu, an Amazon Games representative said:
We have no news on the release date of Catalyst. Work on the game is in full swing, and we look forward to sharing more details closer to the game's release.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis already has a page on Steam. You can add the game to your wishlist via the following link. The release is scheduled for February 12, 2027:
Embody Lara Croft with her sharp wit and physical prowess and explore exotic places lost in time: from the jungles of Peru to the ancient ruins of Greece, from the deserts of Egypt to a mysterious Mediterranean island. Overcome dangerous territories, uncover the secrets of deadly traps, and defeat fierce predators in search of the scattered parts of the Legacy — an artifact of immeasurable power.
