Philips introduced the 27M2N5500X gaming monitor in China. The new product features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The main feature of the model is a 400 Hz refresh rate with the ability to overclock to 425 Hz.
The monitor went on sale for 1899 yuan, or about $280.
For dynamic games, a response time of 1 ms GtG and 0.3 ms MPRT is provided. G-Sync support is also claimed to combat screen tearing.
Philips equipped the device with Zero-Sense Sync Acceleration technology, which should reduce latency between the graphics card and the display. Additional features for gamers include an AI crosshair with automatic color change, Sniper Window mode for digital zoom, and a dark scene illumination system.
Despite the high refresh rate, the manufacturer promises good color reproduction. The monitor supports 10-bit color, provides 100% sRGB coverage and 97% DCI-P3. Factory calibration with a Delta-E value of less than 2 is also claimed.
Brightness is 350 nits, contrast is 1000:1, and it has DisplayHDR 400 certification. Features include a blue light filter, an ergonomic stand with height adjustment and 90-degree rotation, one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1, as well as PiP and PbP modes. Information on pricing and release dates in other markets is not yet available.
