1C Game Studios continues to talk about "Korea. Il-2 Game Series". Recently, the developers published a new diary and a gameplay video demonstrating the career mode.
Now it's not a "pilot's career", but a commander's — players will take part in a larger campaign where the unit operates for "many combat days".
In the career mode of "Korea. Il-2 Game Series", you will be responsible for managing an entire squadron / regiment and will be given more large-scale tasks, such as "achieving air superiority in a certain area". Players decide how to approach the combat mission: which aircraft to use, how many pilots and resources to involve.
According to the developers, 19 types of missions will be available in this mode, to which players can send their subordinates and participate personally:
- "Repelling a bomber raid" (two subtypes - day and night intercepts);
- "Repelling an airfield raid";
- "Repelling a heavy bomber raid" (two subtypes - day and night intercepts);
- "Patrolling a given area";
- "Combat patrolling";
- "Escorting transport aircraft";
- "Escorting heavy bombers";
- "Assault strike on a convoy";
- "Assault strike on an armored column";
- "Assault strike on an artillery position";
- "Assault strike on the enemy's front line";
- "Assault strike on a railway junction";
- "Assault strike on an airfield";
- "Assault strike on troop concentrations";
- "Interdiction on communications";
- "Close air support";
- "Relocation to a new airfield".
