Pre-orders recently began for two traditional sports simulators — NBA 2K27 basketball and EA Sports FC 27 football. Publishers 2K and Electronic Arts "pleased" gamers with expanded premium editions for $150, exceeding the cost of the GTA VI Ultimate Edition ($100).
Complaints about the publishers' pricing policy can be found online, but sales charts indicate that the games are being pre-ordered very actively.
In the American and British PlayStation Stores, NBA 2K27 and EA Sports FC 27 not only stormed the top but also managed to surpass the premium edition of Grand Theft Auto VI.
However, the situation on PC in Steam is different. This weekend, according to the current Steam chart (which is formed in real-time by revenue volume — weekly data will look different), these games are not in the top 10.
In the USA, EA Sports FC 27 took 99th place — between the train game Derail Valley and the shooter Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.
NBA 2K27 did not make it into the top hundred, while the previous installment of the franchise, NBA 2K26, was ranked 83rd — between Call of Duty: Warzone and Deltarune.
In the United Kingdom, EA Sports FC was in 27th place — between the train simulator Train Sim World 6 and the diabloid Grim Dawn. NBA 2K27 did not make it into the top hundred.
