Many players liked the idea of Dinoblade.

At the end of July, a game born from a humorous concept was released. Former Call of Duty and Ghost of Yotei developer Jean Nguyen presented the Dinoblade project on Steam.

It's a dynamic action RPG with soulslike gameplay in a prehistoric setting. The story centers on dinosaurs — the player takes on the role of a young Spinosaurus, armed with a huge two-handed sword. He will have to fight other dinosaurs (also armed) to prevent the extinction of his species:

Explore a boundless world divided into magnificent biomes: from arid canyons to dense, fog-shrouded jungles. Each region is ruled by a fierce Alpha — a supreme predator blocking the way forward. Defeat them or become prey.

According to the developer, each victory makes players stronger — they will have to hone their skills and create their own fighting style. Attacks can be combined into powerful combos: "timely use dodges, rolls, and parries, and find legendary weapons hidden in the wild lands."

The first reviews of Dinoblade on Steam are "very positive." After the first thousand reviews, the game's rating was 89%, and the peak online exceeded 2200 players. In the first 24 hours, 36 thousand copies were sold.
