In late July, Honkai Star Rail developers launched a new round of collaboration with the Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] franchise. To celebrate the start of the "HSR x Fate[UBW]: "Long Time No See"" event, miHoYo (HoYoverse) released an animated trailer and showcased new characters:
- Gilgamesh (5-star rarity, Destruction path, Electric damage type).
- Rin Tohsaka (5-star rarity, Erudition path, Quantum damage type).
In addition, Honkai Star Rail developers launched a promotion giving away a 5-star rarity character from Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] of choice — you can get Gilgamesh or Archer (5-star rarity, Hunt path, Quantum damage type) as a login bonus.
The character giveaway promotion in Honkai Star Rail will run until the end of version 4.6.
This summer saw the release of an update that also added another new character to the game — Himeko: Nova (5-star rarity, Erudition path, Fire damage type). In addition, the developers updated the Russian localization and fixed various technical issues.
