Koei Tecmo has launched an official survey for Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories. Developers from Gust are asking players to evaluate an unusual mechanic — changing the heroine's appearance depending on her diet.
The developers are considering adding an alternative version of Karia with a rounder figure and a full belly after consuming a large amount of food.
Food will become one of the key mechanics of the game: Karia will be able to consume almost anything, and the eaten items will affect her abilities and appearance. A total of over 100 forms are planned, depending on the food.
In another section of the survey, players are asked to choose their favorite heroine costumes from eight options. Gust is also collecting ideas for additional short stories and asking players to suggest topics for future content.
According to Koei Tecmo, the survey responses will influence the game's development and may be used in future marketing materials and social media.
Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories will be released in early 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
