GTA: San Andreas is being ported to PSP with multiplayer - new version gameplay shown
Some enthusiasts would like to see Rockstar Games' classic on a portable platform.
Recently, gameplay footage of a new version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas appeared online. Modders from "Sandstone_PSP" are working on a PSP version of the game, including multiplayer support.
In a recent announcement, Sundstone_dev stated that he would be releasing a custom engine and asset converter. Players will need to download the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas game files separately:
Starting with the next release, I will only distribute my own engine – Sandstone Engine. The asset converter will also be published on this server later. To get game data, you need to create a disk image from your legally purchased copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PlayStation 2 and use the converter to extract the necessary files into the data/ folder for Sandstone Engine. The engine itself does not contain any original game assets.
Modders are discussing their project in the Discord* channel "Sandstone_PSP" – an invitation is available at the following link.
So far, the enthusiasts have not announced a full release date for the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Currently, the project is not available for download from the modders' server. They urged to wait for the release of the next version.
