GTA VI Publisher Begins Deleting Popular AI-Generated "Gameplay Footage"

News 0

The full-fledged marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to begin this summer. Developers are not yet rushing to publish the third trailer, but players expect new promotional materials to appear soon.

Members of the Grand Theft Auto VI fan community noticed that viral videos "about GTA VI" began to be actively deleted on social media. The notification states that "access to this media content [video/image] has been disabled in response to a copyright holder's complaint" (i.e., Take-Two / Rockstar Games).

Some people generate teasers and "gameplay footage" using artificial intelligence. Since there are no new official materials yet, such publications gather many views. Not everyone is advanced enough to understand that what they see is "AI-generated slop" and not official advertising, so such materials can create false impressions about the content of Grand Theft Auto VI. Deleting AI-generated materials before the start of the marketing campaign seems like a logical move.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in November of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The release date for the PC version of the game has not yet been announced.

There is an opinion that the third GTA VI trailer may be published early next month.
