The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is approaching, and Rockstar Games is gradually revealing release details. Recently, players noticed a support section dedicated to regional restrictions for activation keys.
Developers recommend players purchase the game from a seller in the same country or region as their PlayStation 5 account.
List of regions/countries where activation codes will work:
- Brazil
- Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay.
- North America: Canada, USA
- Korea: South Korea
- Japan
- United Kingdom (Great Britain)
- Saudi Arabia and UAE
- Rest of Asia: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand.
- Rest of EMEA and Asia: Turkey, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine.
Xbox Series X|S owners will not have such a problem with restrictions — keys for these consoles simply do not have regional binding.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release in November of this year only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not yet specified a release date or release window for the PC version.
