Recently, information appeared online that Larian Studios would fully return to working with the world of Baldur's Gate 3. The studio was mentioned by publisher Dark Horse during the announcement of a new comic book line at San Diego Comic-Con, so many players thought that the game's creators were involved in the creation of these works.
However, the developers issued a refutation — they currently have other things to do, and work on Divinity is in full swing:
There's a lot of exciting stuff happening right now, but we're not involved in any Baldur's Gate 3 related projects. As soon as we're free, we'll tell you more about the new Divinity.
Larian Studios posted a photo of the studio's boss Swen Vincke in armor and surrounded by colleagues on social media:
The new Divinity currently has no specific release date or window. Larian Studios previously released a trailer, but did not show gameplay.
There is also no information yet regarding a Baldur's Gate sequel. Hasbro owns the franchise rights, and there are rumors that the company may return to the original parts — commissioning remakes.
