CD Projekt RED seems to have been working on yet another game in the Cyberpunk universe, in addition to Project Orion and the second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Details were shared by MP1ST, which discovered a mention of the project in the portfolio of a former employee of WayForward studio.
According to the source, in 2025–2026, WayForward, in collaboration with CD Projekt RED, was developing a project codenamed Project Gemini. The game was in the research and prototyping stage, so it is unknown whether development is still ongoing or has already been canceled.
According to the documents, Project Gemini was a 2.5D fighting game with rollback netcode support (a rollback technology that minimizes lag in online battles) for smoother online matches. Conceptually, the game resembled the River City Girls series, and the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners art style was well-suited for this format.
The portfolio mentions network architecture and online features, which may indicate plans to add a multiplayer mode.
CD Projekt RED has not confirmed the existence of Project Gemini.
