In late July, a modder under the nickname lizardphunk released the third act of the “A Dream of Silence” campaign for Baldur’s Gate 3. The project adds a new story to the Larian Studios game.
The plot centers around Astarion — the player will have to save the character from a nightmare. The project offers several new potential companions with dialogues and rewards, new types of weapons, dynamic battles, and boss fights.
This is not the final version, and work is ongoing. The modder is currently collecting player feedback, and patches may be released for the “A Dream of Silence” mod campaign in the future.
The “A Dream of Silence ReVamped - Act 3 - Complete Story Mod - Custom Campaign” modification for Baldur’s Gate 3 is distributed via Nexus Mods. lizardphunk previously published the previous two acts there. The author emphasizes that the modification does not require Script Extender to work.
Another large-scale mod campaign for Baldur’s Gate 3, called Path to Menzoberranzan, is currently under development. This summer, the developers announced that they were working on creating a demo version and also showed a snippet of one of the locations.
