For comparison, the original Halo: Combat Evolved scored 97 points in 2001.
Most reviewers praised the modern combat system, improved mechanics, and revamped graphics. Among the main drawbacks cited were a lack of ambition, outdated level design in some areas, and the complete absence of a multiplayer mode.
