Recently, Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment released an update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC and consoles. New cosmetic items for Spider-Man (Peter Parker) appeared in the game.
One suit is designed in the style of the upcoming fighting game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and the other — in the style of the new movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". Some players have complaints about the latter.
A user under the nickname RealFruityChewy played with the new skin and posted several screenshots in the Spider-Man fan community, and also shared his opinion about the superhero's outfit — he doesn't like it:
It doesn't look at all like the new red and blue suit, and honestly, it's quite different from what I expected overall
Another participant in the discussion, piomat100, also noted a problem with the suit's color scheme: Something is wrong here. I think [the developers] overdid the saturation, making the image too cartoonish compared to reality. Not to mention how tight they made it (although I'm almost sure this is a limitation of the game itself).
Some other players noted that the texture looks "too smooth and plastic."
Insomniac Games itself has not yet commented on the criticism of the suit. Players hope that the developers will release another patch and fix the Spider-Man suit.
