A secret shanty and a "rickroll" discovered in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
A player noticed an Easter egg hidden in the sheet music.
This summer saw the release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and players are gradually exploring the remake's content. As it turns out, the developers hid a secret shanty called "Home Across The Sea" in the game.
To obtain it, you need to activate a secret dialogue. The main character, Edward Kenway, must go to Nassau at coordinates (597, 767). A drunkard should be standing near the armory, singing.
For the dialogue to appear, you need to listen to his song for about half a minute, after which a dialogue activation button will appear. Then a few short phrases will be heard: the NPC will give Edward a shanty that players can select on the ship.
A user under the nickname MutantLeagueMVP also noticed that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has another Easter egg. He looked closely at the song's drawing and noticed that it was a subtle reference to a "rickroll".
He explained that people who can read sheet music would understand it: in the in-game "Animus" database, for all shanties, the developers used images with a fragment of the sheet music from the famous song "Never Gonna Give You Up".
