First Previews of Silent Hill: Townfall: Dense Atmosphere, Stealth, and No "Walking Simulator"

The previews praise the game for its dense atmosphere, mature plot, and stealth-survival gameplay.

Journalists have tried out Silent Hill: Townfall, the new game in the series from Screen Burn studio, formerly known as No Code.

The action takes place in rainy and gloomy 1990s Scotland. According to journalists, the project impresses with its dense atmosphere, mature plot, and a successful combination of classic series elements with new ideas.

The main character, Simon Ordell, finds himself in the fog-shrouded town of St. Amelia with a catheter in his hand, trying to find a mysterious woman. The developers tell the story through letters, notes, and the environment, without directly revealing the answers.

Reviewers noted that Townfall is by no means a "walking simulator." The first-person game focuses on stealth, resource scarcity, and battles with dangerous enemies. A CRTV receiver, working like radar, is used to detect them. The game will also feature its own version of the Otherworld with a blood-red glow and industrial locations.
