The sequel to the souls-like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is in development at the new studio Chengdu Indolphinity, founded by the original's creative director Xia Siyuan with the support of 505 Games.
A sequel to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is in development. The new installment is being handled by Chengdu Indolphinity studio, founded by the creative director of the first game, Xia Siyuan. The project is being created with the support of 505 Games, which acquired full rights to the franchise in April.
The announcement came as a surprise, as after the release of the original game, there were reports of Xia Siyuan's departure from Leenzee and the dismissal of several employees. According to unofficial data, the studio might have abandoned further development of the series, and since last November, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has not received major updates.
However, Xia Siyuan stated that the story of Wuchang is just beginning. According to him, the new team intends to develop the series, drawing on Chinese culture and the experience gained during the creation of the first part. The developers are also carefully studying player feedback and want to make the sequel more ambitious and better developed.
Details of the plot, list of platforms, and release date of the sequel have not yet been disclosed.
