The creators of Escape from Tarkov did not manage to release a major update in July, which was planned to add a season system and various improvements to the game. For now, Battlestate Games has decided to introduce a small in-game event.
According to the lore, "something big is brewing" in Tarkov, and the surrounding areas are currently restless:
Scav bosses are armed to the teeth and are constantly in their positions. To avoid escalation, trading trophies from them on the Flea Market has been closed. On the other hand, rumors say that it's worth starting to stock up on such gear. Also, they say that night raids have become noticeably riskier...
Fans from the "Tarkov Metamovement" community studied the event and shared their observations. In addition to bosses, who now spawn with a 100% chance, Cultists can be encountered in raids – their spawn chance has been increased to 45%.
They also noted that trophy items from bosses cannot be listed on the Flea Market, and "cursed weapon builds with extended magazines" can be found on Scavs.
It is assumed that the event will run until early August, until Escape from Tarkov receives an update with the first Kord Breach season.
