VAC is back in Counter-Strike 2 - cheaters complain about bans, and players rejoice at the update

Valve has finally dealt with glitches in the security system.

Recently, players of the online shooter Counter-Strike 2 have been complaining about cheaters more often than usual. Something was clearly wrong with the anti-cheat, but after a recent update, the situation changed: Valve announced that it had fixed a bug that allowed cheaters to bypass VACnet verification.

A user under the nickname saspeiro decided to share his joy – he published a notification from the VAC anti-cheat about the successful blocking of a violator, about whom he reported through the in-game complaint system of Counter-Strike 2: "One or more players you recently reported have been permanently banned from official Counter-Strike servers. Thank you for helping the CS community."

Other members of the Counter-Strike 2 community are spreading screenshots from closed chats and cheater communities. Users of prohibited software have started complaining about the anti-cheat – Valve's solution is working and punishing violators.

Now rule-breakers are looking for new ways to cheat in Counter-Strike 2, while players are celebrating the reduction in the number of cheaters in matches.
