The company warned about the new wave of price increases at the end of June. Along with the Series X, the cost of the Xbox Series S will also significantly increase – both versions of the console will go up by $100.
After the price change, the flagship Xbox Series X will become the most expensive basic console in its segment. According to analysts, the main reasons are the global shortage of components and a sharp increase in RAM prices, which affects the entire consumer electronics industry.
The new prices are as follows:
- Xbox Series X (1 TB, with disc drive) — $799.99 (was $649.99);
- Xbox Series X (1 TB, without disc drive) — $749.99 (was $599.99);
- Xbox Series S (1 TB) — $599 (was $449);
- Xbox Series S (512 GB) — $499 (was $399).
