In late July, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment announced the release of a small update for the PC version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

The developers stated that the game received Steam Workshop support – players will be able to easily install user modifications by simply “subscribing” to them in a special menu.

Playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 with mods in a “public lobby” will not be possible. The authors explained that when mods are enabled, the player will be disconnected from public matchmaking and placed in a private lobby:

You can invite other players to your session by sending an invitation or code. In a modified session, a “watermark” will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. In addition, your game progress will be separate from your progress in the official version.

Previously, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 received a major update for all platforms. Saber Interactive added a lot of new content to the game and introduced several premium sets with cosmetic items that will help complete the look of the warriors.
