At the end of July, Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic announced the release of the Gothic 1 Remake update. Initially, patch 1.0.4 will only be available on PC, and should appear on consoles "a little later" (the exact release date has not yet been announced).
The developers stated that this update includes various bug fixes, and performance improvements for the game. Errors that could lead to game crashes or block dialogues have been eliminated. They also reported fixing audio-related issues.
Some other changes and improvements:
- On PlayStation 5: "Overachiever" and "Map Sniffer" trophies (achievements) will now be correctly counted.
- Various interaction animations with objects and the environment have been fixed.
- Quest errors that could prevent further game progression have been eliminated.
- Adjustments have been made to the balance of rewards and some items.
- Additional loot has appeared in some locations.
